FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PRODUKSI JAGUNG (Zea mays L.) DI DESA GAMBIRAN KECAMATAN PRIGEN KABUPATEN PASURUAN
Abstract
Corn is a staple crop which is also one of the main commodities for Indonesian people. Corn plants are widely cultivated by local farmers as food, feed ingredients or industrial raw materials. Currently, many farmers are cultivating corn as their preferred farming option. However, farmers' lack of understanding of the production factors in corn farming causes poor or inefficient farming results. Most farmers in Gambiran Village experience difficulties in allocating production inputs efficiently, resulting in less than optimal corn production. This research aims to: Understand corn production and the factors that influence corn production in Gambiran Village, Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency. Simple Random Sampling technique was used in this research to determine which farmer respondents would be used. By using the Solvin formula, 87 farmers were obtained as respondents in this research. Data analysis in this research used multiple linear regression analysis of the Cobb Douglas function for quantitative data analysis from the results of interview questionnaires with respondent farmers. Farming efficiency analysis or RC ratio is also used in this research to answer the research objectives. The results of the analysis of farming in Gambiran Village, Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency show that the total cost or capital used by respondent farmers for corn farming in one planting season is on average Rp. 16,413,324/ha/planting season. The total amount of costs or capital devoted will result in an average income of IDR 35,952,946 /ha/planting season. The average net income of respondent farmers is IDR 19,539,622 /ha/planting season. The R/C ratio is 2.19, meaning that for every Rp. 1.00 spent, corn farmers in Gambiran Village will receive income of Rp. 2.19 so that corn farmers get a profit of Rp. 1.19, because R/C > 1 means farming. corn carried out in Gambiran Village, Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency is profitable. Production factors that have a real influence on corn production in Gambiran Village are land area, seeds, urea fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, and labor. Meanwhile, factors that do not have a significant effect on corn production in Gambiran Village are pesticides. The suggestion from this research is that farmers in Gambiran Village can pay more attention to the amount of production input according to its influence on production results, so that the amount of corn production can be maximized and become more efficient and can further increase farmers' income from corn farming.
