Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of leadership style, organizational conflict, and organizational culture on organizational commitment among members of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Universitas Islam Malang in 2025. A quantitative approach was employed with a sample of 81 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed by multiple linear regression using SPSS. Open-ended responses were examined through Word Cloud analysis as supporting data. The findings reveal that leadership style, organizational conflict, and organizational culture simultaneously have a significant effect on organizational commitment. Partially, leadership style and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect, while organizational conflict has no significant effect. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.472 indicates that 47.2% of the variation in organizational commitment is explained by the three variables. Word Cloud analysis shows that students’ commitment is mainly driven by the desire to gain new experiences, expand networks, and develop themselves. This study concludes that leadership style is the most dominant factor influencing organizational commitment, followed by organizational culture.
