PENERAPAN ECOPRINT DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KREATIVITAS PADA ANAK USIA DINI DI TK ISLAM TERPADU PUTERA ZAMAN
Abstract
Ecoprinting is a hands-on, experiential learning method involving natural materials such as leaves and flowers to foster the creativity of 5–6-year-olds at the Putera Zaman Integrated Islamic Kindergarten in Malang City for the 2024/2025 academic year. This activity is conducted systematically and contextually, adapting to the developmental characteristics of early childhood, including fine motor skills, imagination, and social-emotional abilities. This study aims to analyze the planning of ecoprint activities, children's activities during the activities, and their influence on the development of children's creativity. The method used is Moleong's descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving children in group B, teachers, and educators who guided the activities using source triangulation data analysis techniques. The research results show that planning was carried out in stages, starting from determining the theme, selecting materials, preparing media and tools, and finally reflecting and appreciating the work. Children were actively involved in each stage of the activity, expressing their imagination through leaf and flower arrangements, divergent thinking to create various patterns, producing original works, and adapting to emerging constraints. Furthermore, children demonstrated the ability to relate the printed results to previous experiences and a sensitivity to the aesthetic elements of their work. It can be concluded that ecoprinting activities have proven effective in developing creativity in early childhood, increasing independence, self-confidence, fine motor skills, and environmental awareness. This activity also serves as a fun and meaningful learning medium that can stimulate various aspects of creativity comprehensively, thus supporting children's holistic development.
