IMPLEMENTASI KEGIATAN KOLASE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTORIK HALUS ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN
Abstract
This study explores the implementation of collage activities as a strategy to improve fine motor skills in children aged 5–6 years. The main research question addressed is: How does the implementation of collage activities influence the development of fine motor skills in early childhood? This issue stems from observations that some children in this age group show delayed fine motor development, affecting their ability to perform basic tasks such as cutting, pasting, and drawing. Positioned within the field of early childhood education, this research focuses on practical and creative learning approaches that support motor development through art-based activities. The study employed a qualitative classroom action research (CAR) method, conducted in two cycles involving observation, documentation, and performance assessment of children’s motor skills before and after collage activities. The results indicate that structured collage activities significantly enhance children’s fine motor skills, particularly in hand-eye coordination, grip strength, and finger dexterity. The findings highlight the importance of integrating creative, hands-on activities into early learning curricula to support holistic child development.
