IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM GO GREEN DALAM PERSPEKTIF MONTESSORI DI RA SYIHABUDDIN
Abstract
Implementing the Go Green program from a Montessori perspective is very important in maintaining cleanliness for students, including forming an attitude of care and responsibility towards the environment. The research focus is as follows: (1) what is the concept of going Green from a Montessori perspective at RA Syihabuddin? (2) What is the impact of the Go Green program from a Montessori perspective? The objectives to be achieved are: (1) describe the concept of going Green from a Montessori perspective at RA Syihabuddin, (2) Describe the impact of the Go Green program from a Montessori perspective. This research was conducted at RA Syihabuddin Jl. Tirtomulyo 66 C Klandungan Village, Dau District, Malang. This research approach is descriptive qualitative research with a case study type of research. Data collection techniques in this research were through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are: data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data in this study used the triangulation reliability test. The research results show that: (1) The Go Green concept from a Montessori perspective at RA Syihabuddin has shown positive results that have been achieved through several Montessori principles involving learning activities that focus on independent learning, problem solving, free exploration, respecting children, constructing their mental development, and implementing environmentally friendly practices by providing practical learning through direct experience such as, throwing away rubbish in its proper place, sorting organic and inorganic rubbish, recycling rubbish, gardening, planting plants, pulling weeds, and watering plants. Apart from that, this program also involves active participation between students and parents. Overall, this program has made a major contribution to preserving the school environment and helping children understand and apply the concept of sustainability in everyday life. (2) The impact of the Go Green program from a Montessori perspective at RA Syihabuddin has a positive impact by increasing environmental awareness among students through practical learning and direct experience. This program encourages independence, courageous responsibility, discipline and respect for nature, in accordance with Montessori principles thereby supporting holistic development in children. Thus, the implementation of the Go Green program at RA Syihabuddin not only supports environmental education, but also develops independent and environmentally caring character in children.
