Analisis Praktik Jual Beli Hasil Padi Melalui Sistem Ijon Perspektif Ekonomi Islam (Studi Kasus di Desa Jombok, Kecamatan Ngoro, Kabupaten Jombang)

Abstract


Indonesia as an agrarian country certainly has great potential in the agricultural sector in driving the economy. However, economic inequality makes some farmers use the ijon system, one of which is in Jombok Village, Jombang Regency. Through a descriptive qualitative method, the research will explore the practice of buying and selling rice products using the ijon system from an Islamic economic perspective. The ijon system in Jombok Village reflects farmers' dependence on the informal system due to limited access to formal financial institutions, where middlemen dominate rice pricing, creating economic inequality and hindering agricultural innovation. Although this practice provides instant capital, it contains high risks such as unreasonable interest, price losses, and prolonged debt cycles, and is considered legally and ethically illegal because it contains exploitation and obscurity (gharar). The sharia economy offers solutions through inclusive financing based on fair contracts such as mudharabah, musyarakah, salam, and muzara'ah, which ensure price certainty and balanced risk sharing. This scheme not only reduces dependence on middlemen, but also increases financial literacy and encourages productive collaboration through musaqah and mukhabarah, creating a more equitable, independent, and sustainable agricultural ecosystem.
