KARAKTERISTIK PEMBAKARAN WOOD PELLET SERBUK JATI DAN BAMBU BETUNG DENGAN METODE SINGLE WOOD PELLET
Abstract
Energy is very important for human life because every human activity, including the world economy, requires energy, and this need is still met by fossil fuels.. So it is necessary to analyze the potential resources, renewable alternative energy as a substitute for non-renewable fuels. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of burning teak wood with a mixture of babu betung using the single wood pellet method. The research method used is experimental. Variation of betung bamboo powder mixture of 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%. The temperature at the time of the study was 28°-30℃ and the length of the wood pellet used for the study was 2 cm. The results of the burning time research on the characteristics of single wood pellets showed that the fastest time was in the J100B0 variation of 118.28 seconds and the longest was in the J70B30 variation of 129.07. This shows that as the mixture of bamboo betung increases, there is an increase in the graph which causes a longer burning time. The burning rate in the study of the characteristics of single wood pellets shows that as the mixture of bamboo betung increases, the burning rate becomes slower. The flame height and temperature in the single wood pellet study showed the highest fire was in the J70B30 variation due to the higher calorific value of betung bamboo.Keywords : , Wood Pellet, Biomass, Alternative Energy, Fuel, Betung Bamboo, Teak Wood
