Abstract

The challenge of poverty continues to be a significant obstacle for nations in development, such as Indonesia. An important factor that can help lower poverty rates is economic progress, where a nation is deemed successful in its economic advancement if it manages to decrease poverty levels, ensure fair income distribution, and generate numerous job opportunities. This study employs a qualitative method with field research techniques. It aims to evaluate and articulate the function of the productive zakat sociopreneur initiative in promoting sustainable development (SDGs), with an emphasis on the primary goal of creating a poverty-free society. The role of productive zakat in lifting underprivileged groups is vital to sustainable development initiatives (SDGs) concerning poverty reduction, yielding very positive outcomes. This indicates that the objectives related to distribution and empowerment through productive zakat, particularly in the sociopreneur domain, have been achieved. Therefore, it is crucial to pay greater attention to the distribution of productive zakat within the sociopreneur sphere, ensuring that the sustainable development goals (SDGs) align with the aims of productive zakat distribution in accordance with Islamic principles.
