Analisis Pengaruh Financial Literacy, Fintech Adoption, Self-Control, Dan Lifestyle Terhadap Perilaku Keuangan Mahasiswa FEB Universitas Islam Malang
Abstract
Abstract
This study investigates the influence of financial literacy, fintech adoption, self-control, and lifestyle on the financial behavior of students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Islam Malang, class of 2022. The rapid expansion of digital payment infrastructure such as QRIS has not been accompanied by a comparable rise in financial literacy among young users, raising concern about how students manage their personal finances amid easy access to digital financial services. A quantitative associative-causal design was employed, involving 85 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling from a population of 580 students. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that the four independent variables simultaneously exert a significant effect on financial behavior (F = 11.027; sig. = 0.000), explaining 32.3 percent of its variance (adjusted R² = 0.323). Partially, only self-control has a significant positive effect, whereas financial literacy, fintech adoption, and lifestyle show no significant partial effect. These findings indicate that among students, the capacity for self-regulation plays a more decisive role in shaping sound financial behavior than financial knowledge, technology adoption, or lifestyle orientation. The study extends the Theory of Planned Behavior by highlighting the primacy of perceived behavioral control in financial decision-making among digitally active young consumers.
