This study aims to analyze the influence of initiative, critical thinking skills, and rewards on employee performance at the Malang City Education and Culture Office. This research is motivated by the importance of improving the quality of human resources in government agencies to achieve organizational goals effectively and efficiently. Employee performance is a key factor determining organizational succes, therefore, it needs to be supported by work initiative, critical thinking skills, and rewards given to employees. The research method used was quantitative explanatory research. The population in this study was 79 civil servants at the Malang City Education and Culture Office. A saturated sampling technique was employed, in which all members of the population were included as the research sample. Data collection was conducted through a Likert-scale questionnaire. The collected data were examined using instrument validity and reliability tests, followed by classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and coefficient of determination analysis. The results indicated that initiative had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, critical thinking skills had a positive and contributes significantly to employee performance, and rewards had a positive and is significantly associated with employee performance. This shows that the higher the level of initiative, critical thinking skills, and appreciation received by employees, the better the employee's performance in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
