Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the effect of income expectations, entrepreneurship education, subjective norms, and self-efficacy on entrepreneurial interest in management students of the economics and business faculty of the Islamic University of Malang batch 2018. The independent variables in this study were income expectations, entrepreneurship education, subjective norms, and self-efficacy, while the dependent variable is entrepreneurial interest. This type of research is explanatory research using a quantitative approach because the data in this study uses mathematical calculations with statistical models. The source of data in this study is primary data with data collection methods in the form of direct questionnaires. The population in this study was UNISMA management students class 2018. The data collection technique used purposive sampling with the criteria for management students from class 2018, based on this method the number that must be used was 80 students using the slovin formula. Hypothesis testing using instrument testing, normality test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis test and hypothesis testing using SPSS Version 25. The results of this study indicate that the variables of income expectations, entrepreneurship education, subjective norms and self-efficacy have a simultaneous effect on entrepreneurial interest. , then the variable income expectations, subjective norms, and self-efficacy partially influence the interest in entrepreneurship, while the entrepreneurial education variable does not partially affect the interest in entrepreneurship.
