UTILIZING THE RAAEA MODEL: A CASE STUDY OF ICT TOOL USE BY A WRITING LECTURER IN THE 4TH SEMESTER AT UNIVERSITY OF ISLAM MALANG

Abstract



Abstract : This research explores the utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools by fourth-semester writing lecturer in the English Education Department at the University of Islam Malang, using the RAAEA technology integration model. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a single case study, focusing on one writing lecturer as the informant. In-depth interviews were conducted to gather data, which was analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the lecturer uses various ICT tools in their writing classes and employs strategies to integrate them effectively. However, a significant challenge they face is internet connectivity. Although not familiar with RAAEA, the lecturer comprehend and apply its underlying principles in their teaching practices.
