ANALISIS ISTINBAT HUKUM FATWA MUI NO. 80 TAHUN 2022 TENTANG UJI LABORATORIUM PADA PROSES SERTIFIKASI HALAL

Abstract


This research discusses the Analysis of Legal Derivation (Istinbat al-Hukm) on the MUI Fatwa No. 80 of 2022 concerning Laboratory Testing in the Halal Certification Process. The main objective is to identify the legal foundations and the method of legal reasoning used by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in mandating laboratory testing for halal certification. This study employs a normative legal approach using primary data from MUI Fatwa No. 80 of 2022, supported by references from the Qur’an, Hadith, Islamic legal maxims, and related regulations. The results show that MUI applies bayani, ta’lili, and istislahi methods based on maqashid syariah considerations. Laboratory testing is viewed as a vital means to ensure product halalness accurately and in accordance with Islamic law.
