DAMPAK KETIADAAN ASESMEN PSIKOLOGIS DAN KONSELING TERHADAP KESIAPAN CALON MEMPELAI DALAM KASUS DISPENSASI PERNIKAHAN DI PENGADILAN AGAMA KOTA MALANG

Abstract


This study aims to analyze the impact of the absence of psychological assessment and premarital counseling on the readiness of prospective brides and grooms in marriage dispensation cases at the Religious Court of Malang City. Marriage dispensation is frequently granted due to urgent circumstances such as premarital pregnancy and social pressure, often without adequate consideration of psychological readiness. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through interviews, observation, and documentation involving judges and court officials. The findings indicate that the absence of psychological assessment and counseling contributes to emotional instability, anxiety, and a lack of preparedness to assume marital roles. Although judges acknowledge the importance of psychological evaluation, its implementation has not been systematically integrated into judicial procedures. Furthermore, the role of the Integrated Service Center for Women and Children Empowerment (P2TP2A) has not been optimally utilized. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating psychological assessment and premarital counseling as a form of child protection and as an effort to ensure sustainable and harmonious family formation.
