TRADISI ITONG DOEI PERNIKAHAN SUKU SASAK PERSPEKTIF MASLAHAH MURSALAH (STUDI KASUS DESA BONDER KECAMATAN PRAYA BARAT KABUPATEN LOMBOK TENGAH)

Abstract

The traditional custom of itong doei in Sasak marriage in Bonder Village, Praya Barat District, Central Lombok Regency, is an important part of the local community's life. This tradition not only strengthens family relationships but also has deep symbolic and religious values. This research uses a qualitative approach to gain a deep understanding of the implementation of the itong doei tradition and the perspective of maslahah mursalah. The results show that the itong doei tradition is not contrary to the principles of Islamic Shariah and has significant benefits for the community, such as maintaining silaturrahim (kinship bonds), building a harmonious, loving, and respectful family, and strengthening relationships between families. Thus, the itong doei tradition can be preserved and maintained as part of the cultural and religious heritage of the Sasak community.
