Abstract

the community prefers the easiest way to resolve issues related to disputes. From there, many ordinary people chose community leaders to solve their problems, one of which was in the case of joint property disputes. Community leaders who are considered competent can become intermediaries and with their knowledge can provide solutions in the mediation process. In the dispute resolution process, community leaders have a very important role. Community leaders are seen by the community because of their knowledge or position. With this because of its status, it is hoped that it can provide a solution when a dispute occurs. In order to achieve these objectives, the authors here use qualitative research methods with the type of field research. The stages carried out included the data collection process carried out using the observation method, interviews were conducted with questions and answer between researchers and respondents.
