HUBUNGAN ANTARA KOMPETENSI PEDAGOGIK GURU DENGAN KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU RA SEKECAMATAN PUJON
Abstract
This study examines the relationship between pedagogical competence and professional competence of Raudhatul Athfal (RA) teachers in Pujon District. The research is motivated by the importance of teacher competence in improving the quality of early childhood education, particularly in managing learning processes and mastering teaching materials effectively. This study positions pedagogical and professional competence as two interrelated aspects that support the success of learning activities. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population consisted of 128 RA teachers from 19 institutions in Pujon District, while the sample of 97 teachers was determined using purposive sampling and the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, then analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, and correlation tests with SPSS 21. The findings revealed that the pedagogical competence of RA teachers was categorized as good with an average score of 4.2, while professional competence was also categorized as good with an average score of 4.3. Furthermore, there was a very strong, positive, and significant relationship between pedagogical competence and professional competence, indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.892 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05).
