POLA ASUH ORANG TUA PADA ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN DI RA KHODIJAH PUJON
Abstract
This research was conducted based on the significant role of parenting styles in supporting early childhood development, particularly at RA Khadijah Pujon, where various forms of parent-child interactions and parenting approaches were identified. The main issue discussed in this study concerns the application of parenting styles among parents of children aged 5-6 years at the institution. The aim of this research is to identify the dominant parenting styles and to provide an overview of existing parenting practices. A quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design was used in this study, involving 105 respondents selected through a total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and analyzed descriptively. The findings reveal that the democratic parenting style is the most commonly applied parenting style at RA Khadijah Pujon, obtaining an average score of 4.3, which is categorized as high. This parenting style is reflected through open communication, guidance provided by parents, and active parental participation in child development. These results indicate that most parents have adopted positive parenting practices that contribute to the optimal development of children and can strengthen the family's role in early childhood education.
