HUBUNGAN INTENSITAS PEMBERIAN HADIAH (REWARD) TERHADAP KEDISIPLINAN ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN
Abstract
This study aims to explore the relationship between the frequency of reward provision and the level of discipline among children aged 5 to 6 years at RA Wisma Ilmu and BA Baiturrohman. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 53 respondents, focusing on the frequency of reward provision and the children's level of discipline, supported by photo documentation during the questionnaire completion process. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment via SPSS version 25, and the normality test was carried out using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method.The findings of this study indicate that: (1) The frequency of reward provision is at a moderate level, with non-material rewards such as praise and smiles being the most frequently given. (2) The children's level of discipline is also considered good, particularly in maintaining cleanliness. (3) However, hypothesis testing results show no statistically significant relationship between the frequency of reward provision and children's discipline (p=0.172). This suggests that rewards alone are not sufficient to improve discipline; rather, consistent parenting patterns and environmental factors are also necessary.
