Abstract

ABSTRACT

Waste is water that is not clean and contains various substances that can harm humans and other living creatures and usually appears as a result of human activities, both from industry and from households. A Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant (IPLT) is a facility designed to receive and process fecal sludge transported by sludge trucks. The IPLT is a planned effort to improve environmentally friendly sludge processing and disposal. Although Indramayu Regency already has a city-scale wastewater treatment plant (IPLT) in Pecuk, located in Sindang District, it only has a capacity of 25 m3/day. Transporting sludge from Anjatan District to the Pecuk IPLT will require significant costs for sludge truck transportation due to the considerable distance. The distance between Anjatan District and Sindang District is 58.4 km. It is hoped that the construction of the IPLT can accommodate the sludge discharge in Anjatan District, which amounts to 92,516 people, and can reduce groundwater pollution, optimize performance, distribution efficiency and provide a healthy environment.
