This research explained about modernization of Islamic Education curriculum at Junir High School Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) Malang. It also answered some research questions as follows: (1) how to plan modernization of Islamic education curriculum at Junior High School Tazkia IIBS Malang, (2) how modernization of Islamic Education curriculum at Tazkia IIBS Malang, (3) how the implementation modernization of Islamic Education curriculum at Tazkia IIBS Malang. This research using a qualitative approach with case studies type. This research also has obtained research data from unstructured interview, passive participation observation and official documentation. The results of this research show that: (1) Departing from the vision of Tazkia’s mission to provide holistic and balanced education, so the evaluation continues to generate modernization Islamic Education curriculum of Tazkia IIBS. (2) The modernization of the curriculum has twice occurred in Tazkia, precisely in the year 2017 changes from the old curriculum (Tazkia’s curriculum) become the curriculum of Manhaji, then in the year 2018 changes to Al-Azhar curriculum. (3) In implementasion of modernization curriculum, Tazkia faces many obtacles, these obtacles can be conquered with various strategies, and one of the strategies that was created from Tazkia’s teacher is summary book of Al-Azhar Curriculum.
