Abstract

Al-Qurâ€™an is the main and first source of Islamic teachings. Therefore, learning to read the Qur'an is the most important thing to do for Muslims because reading will make Muslims easier to learn and understand the contents of the Qur'an. In learning the Qur'an which has not been said to be successful, due to the large number of students who still have difficulty of reading the Al-Qurâ€™an caused by family factors that do not encourage their children to learn and read the Qur'an. Beside that, the researcher in this research found some students who could not read the Al-Qurâ€™an caused by the students could not read Arabic letters. Similarly, when studying Islamic religion, there are still many students who did not know the rules and the laws of Al- Qur'an. It makes the students felt difficult to read the Al-Qurâ€™an and Arabic letters. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning of the Al-Quâ€™ran at Junior high school Islamic of Ma'arif 02 Malang, the efforts of Islamic religion teachers (PAI) in overcoming students' difficulties in reading Al-Qu'an, the supporting and inhibiting factors of islamic religion teacher teachers in overcoming difficulties in reading Al-Qurâ€™an. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The type of this research is case study research. The data was collected using observation, interviews, and documents. To analyze the data that has been obtained by using qualitative analysis from Miles and Haberman, namely through Data Reduction, Presenting Data, and Drawing Conclusions. The efforts of Islamic education teachers in overcoming the difficulties of students reading Al- Qur'an Junior high school Islamic of Ma'arif 02 Malang includes the habit of reading the Qur'an which has become a culture in this school.
