PERAN GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEPEDULIAN MENGIKUTI PROGRAM KEPUTRIAN SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN NEGERI 5 MALANG

Abstract

The keputrian program is a school-based religious activity aimed at fostering religious character and enhancing female students engagement and concern regarding the program. However, the level of concern among some students remains suboptimal. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation of role-modeling and pedagogical strategies, and the outcomes of efforts made by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers to increase student concern in the keputrian program at State Vocational High School 5 (SMKN 5) Malang. This research contributes to the study of the PAI teacher's role by focusing on boosting female students concern in the keputrian program. A qualitative approach utilizing a phenomenological design was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana technique. The findings indicate that PAI teachers systematically plan the program, implement role-modeling and pedagogical strategies that actively involve students, and foster habits through continuous guidance and support. These efforts successfully increased the attention, involvement, and awareness of some students regarding the keputrian program, although the level of concern demonstrated was not uniform across the student body.
