PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN FLIPPED LEARNING TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN SISWA KELAS XI PADA MATA PELAJARAN PAI DI SMK WIDYA DHARMA TUREN

Abstract


This study examines the effect of flipped learning model on students' understanding in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject at SMK Widya Dharma Turen. The main problem addressed is students' low understanding due to passive conventional learning methods. This quasi-experimental research employed pretest-posttest control group design involving 70 eleventh-grade students divided into experimental (36 students) and control groups (34 students). Data were collected through validated understanding tests and analyzed using t-test, N-Gain, and Cohen's d Effect Size. The findings revealed: (1) significant difference in understanding between groups (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05) with experimental group's posttest mean of 86.67; (2) understanding improvement of 19.58 points with N-Gain of 58.21% (moderate category), higher than control group's 27.74% (low category); and (3) flipped learning model demonstrated very large effect on students' understanding with Effect Size of 0.127. This study confirms that flipped learning effectively enhances students' understanding in PAI subject.
