Abstract


This article explores the peaceful Islamic proselytization (da'wah) conducted by the Habaib (descendants of the Prophet Muhammad SAW) in Indonesia, as described in the book "17 Influential Habaib in Indonesia" by Habib Abdul Qadir Mauladdawilah. The study highlights how these figures contributed to the spread of Islam through education, moral exemplarity, cultural integration, and social leadership. Using a qualitative library research approach combined with interviews, this study analyzes the unique character of Indonesian Islam shaped by the teachings and conduct of the Habaib. The findings reveal that Habaib's da'wah strategies significantly influenced Indonesian society spiritually, intellectually, and socially, positioning them as essential figures in Islamic civilization in the archipelago.
