IMPLEMENTASI PEMBELAJARAN HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILLS ( HOTS ) PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI SMP NEGERI 9 MALANG

Abstract

Higher order thinking is the ability to think that is not just remembering but can restate or refer without processing. SMP Negeri 9 Malang is one of the educational institutions that has implemented high level thinking learning, especially in Islamic religious education subjects. The research focus of this study is 1. How to plan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) learning in Islamic Religious Education Subjects at SMP Negeri 9 Malang. 2. How is the implementation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) learning in Islamic Religious Education Subjects at SMP Negeri 9 Malang. 3. What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) learning in Islamic Religious Education Subjects at SMP Negeri 9 Malang. This study uses qualitative research using a case study approach, collecting data from observations, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the application of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) learning in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMP Negeri 9 Malang had been implemented with HOTS provisions with indicators C4 and above. Learning Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) which is carried out in class does not only use C4 indicators and above, but C3 indicators are also carried out by Islamic Religious Education teachers. These activities can be known through the learning methods used by the teacher. In addition, the teacher also applies learning by using thinking activities, namely Critical Thinking or critical thinking.
