PERAN GURU PAI DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN KARAKTER SISWA PADA KURIKULUM MERDEKA KELAS VII DI SMP NEGERI 13 MALANG

Abstract


This study is caused by differences in motivation levels among students in grade 7 of SMPN 13 Malang. Some of students with high motivation is habituated to learn intensively from an early age. However, some students with less motivation thinking that junior high school students are not yet ready to study religion that full of orders and prohibitions. Therefore, it is important for future educators to know the roles, strategies, supportive and inhibitory factors in enhancing student motivation and character. The implementation of a Kurikulum Merdeka has brought a new brand to the Indonesian education system. Diverse learning and students’ centered are certainly causing pros and cons.  Thus, researcher is encouraged to elaborate that case throught this research. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach that focused on the feeling or emotions based on informant's experience. The results show that the teachers’ role parents’ attention, and the program of Kurikulum Merdeka program are effective in enhancing the motivation and character of students according to the Pancasila student profile and 4C competencies in this 21 century.
