PENGARUH MOTIVASI ORANG TUA TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA DALAM BIDANG STUDI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS AL-FATTAH SINGOSARI KABUPATEN MALANG

Abstract


The primary objective of this research is to delve into the impact of parental motivation on student achievement in the context of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at Al-Fattah Singosari High School, located in Malang Regency. In order to achieve this objective, the study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a descriptive correlational research design. By adopting this methodology, the researchers intend to establish meaningful relationships and associations between parental motivation and student academic performance in the specified subject area. To gather the necessary data for analysis, the researchers employed two distinct techniques. Firstly, they administered questionnaires to parents to gather valuable information about their motivation and involvement in their children's educational journey. This data will be instrumental in comprehending the level of parental engagement and its potential influence on student achievement in IRE. Secondly, student report card data was collected using documentation techniques. This approach provides objective and quantitative data on student performance, allowing for a comprehensive examination of the relationship between parental motivation and academic outcomes. The study encompassed a total of 176 students from grades X and XI at Al-Fattah Singosari High School. To ensure an unbiased and systematic selection process, the researcher opted for an ordinal method of subject selection, specifically choosing students with odd numbers. This approach contributes to the study's credibility and rigor The researchers aspire that this investigation will yield valuable insights into the significance of parental motivation in fostering student enthusiasm and commitment towards Islamic Religious Education. By shedding light on the role of parents in influencing their children's academic journey, the findings are anticipated to contribute significantly to the enhancement of Islamic religious education practices at Al-Fattah Singosari High School in Malang Regency.
