The Qur'an is the word of Allah SWT which has unparalleled beauty and truth. In the context of education, the Qur'an is used as the basis of religious values and laws, as well as an important part of the educational curriculum. Through initial observations, many children in the neighborhood are difficult to invite to learn religion after completing basic education due to the busy pursuit of formal education and the influence of technology. However, today there are many formal education institutions that include religious activities, such as SMP Plus Az-Zahroh. SMP Plus Az-Zahroh is one of the formal educational institutions that pays attention to religious aspects with the existence of a highly recognized Qur'an tahfiz program. Therefore, the researchers will examine the approach employed by tahfiz teachers to enhance students' ability to memorize the Qur'an at SMP Plus Az-Zahroh Malang. The study focuses on various aspects, such as the memorization process, strategies employed by the tahfiz teachers to improve students' memorization, and the evaluation of the tahfiz teachers' efforts in this regard. Employing a qualitative approach through a case study design, the research aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the phenomena observed in the field. The findings indicate that the tahfiz teachers at SMP Plus Az-Zahroh employ strategies such as motivation, tajweed instruction, group activities, and recognition in the form of shahadah to enhance students' memorization of the Qur'an.
