STRATEGI GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MEMBENTUK KEPRIBADIAN ISLAMI PESERTA DIDIK DI SMAN 9 MALANG
Abstract
This study aims to examine Islamic personality values instilled by Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMAN 9 Malang, teacher strategies in shaping students' Islamic personalities, and obstacles in forming students' Islamic personalities. The context of this research is the phenomenon of the lack of manners of students in older surroundings, which raises questions about the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education in shaping Islamic personality. The research method used is qualitative with a case study type, and data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out by collecting data, condensing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions, as well as checking the validity of the data by triangulating sources, techniques, and time, as well as discussions with colleagues and experts. The results of the study showed that Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMAN 9 Malang instilled Islamic personality values in matters of faith, worship, and morals. The strategies used in the formation of students' Islamic personalities include exemplary methods, habituation, and advice. However, there are several obstacles in the formation of an Islamic personality, such as internal factors of students, parents, technology, friends, and association. This shows that even though Islamic Religious Education is a subject taught in schools, it is not always effective in shaping the Islamic personality of students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop learning strategies that are more effective and efficient in shaping Islamic personality. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding Islamic personality values instilled by Islamic Religious Education teachers and the obstacles encountered in the formation of the Islamic personality of students at SMAN 9 Malang.
