Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the income of shallot farming and determine the factors affecting shallot production in Sumberagung Village, Ngantang District, Malang Regency. The research was conducted in 2025 using a survey method involving 36 shallot farmers as respondents. Data analysis methods included farm income analysis, R/C Ratio analysis, and the Cobb-Douglas production function using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the average shallot production reached 14,583.41 kg/ha/planting season with an average selling price of IDR 18,555.56/kg. The total farm revenue amounted to IDR 270,573,632/ha/planting season, while the total production cost was IDR 55,637,333/ha/planting season, resulting in a net income of IDR 214,936,299/ha/planting season. The R/C Ratio value of 4.86 indicated that shallot farming was feasible and profitable to operate. The regression analysis results revealed that seed, manure, ZA fertilizer, and labor significantly affected shallot production. Seed, ZA fertilizer, and labor had a positive effect on production, while manure had a negative effect. Meanwhile, land area, NPK fertilizer, and pesticides did not significantly affect shallot production.
