MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS CANVA DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPAS SISWA MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH
Abstract
The continued development of educational technology has created opportunities for teachers to employ innovative learning media that foster student engagement and enhance academic achievement. Nevertheless, learning practices in elementary schools are still often characterized by the use of conventional teaching methods, resulting in low student participation and suboptimal learning outcomes, particularly in Science and Social Science (IPAS). This purpose of this study was to investigate the extent to which the use of Canva-based learning media influenced the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at MI Miftahul Ulum Karangploso Malang. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design employing a one-group pretest-posttest model. The research participants were fourth-grade students selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were obtained trough achievement tests and documentation. The data obtained were examined using descriptive statistics and inferential analysis with a paired sample t-test. The results showed a statistically significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes following the use of Canva-based learning media. The visual, interactive, and attractive features provided by Canva successfully increased students' learning motivation, classroom participation, and conceptual understanding of IPAS materials. Therefore, Canva can be considered an effective digital learning medium for improving the quality of learning in elementary education, particularly in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum.
