PERAN GURU DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KETERAMPILAN KERJA SAMA MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN IPAS DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH

Abstract

Education is an important tool for developing student skills, including collaboration skills, which are essential for 21st-century social skills. Learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) provides students with opportunities to engage in various collaborative activities that foster collaboration skills through discussions, problem solving, and group work. This study aims to describe the implementation of IPAS learning in developing students' collaboration skills and to analyze the role of teachers in fostering collaboration skills through IPAS learning in fifth grade students at MI Miftahul Ulum Karangploso, Malang Regency. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study approach. Data sources consisted of primary and secondary data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of IPAS learning in developing collaboration skills involves three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. During the planning stage, teachers integrated the value of collaboration into the In Depth Learning Plan (ILP), implemented the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and cooperative learning methods, and formed heterogeneous learning groups. During the implementation phase, students actively engage in group discussions, complete assignments collaboratively, and engage in contextual learning. The evaluation phase involves assessing the process and outcomes using a rubric containing indicators of responsibility, active participation, and mutual assistance. Teachers play a strategic role as facilitators, motivators, classroom controllers and managers, evaluators, and mentors.
