Abstract

This research examines the analysis of student soft skill development planning through extracurricular activities at SD Brawijaya Smart School Malang. The background of the problem is the importance of basic education as a foundation for character building and soft skills, as well as the lack of soft skills development platforms in many schools. This research focuses on how schools plan extracurricular activities to develop students' soft skills, such as leadership, adaptation, problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, communication, and time management. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach, using interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results showed that the school developed extracurricular policies based on government regulations, involved qualified coaches, developed a structured schedule, and opened registration without selection. Extracurricular activities are designed to balance academic and non-academic, with a focus on developing students' interests, talents and soft skills. As a result, these activities successfully create an environment that supports the holistic development of students' character and soft skills.
