STRATEGI SEKOLAH DALAM PENGUATAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS DI MI TAHFIDZ AL ASYHAR KOTA MALANG

Abstract

School is a place where students gain knowledge and shape their personalities to be pious, intelligent, skilled, and have good moral character. By possessing religious character, students will not be influenced by the current trends that are drifting away from life values. This research discusses school strategies, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors in implementing religious character. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach and was conducted at MI Tahfidz Al-Asyhar in Malang City. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, such as interview results and research permits. The research findings are as follows: 1) Students at MI Tahfidz Al-Asyhar in Malang City have good religious character, and teachers educate them to be responsible and independent in their daily activities, which enables the students to perform their tasks without coercion or pressure. 2) Students are enthusiastic in participating in religious activities at school and are disciplined in attending school events, which eliminates the need for excessive guidance from teachers as the students are already aware of their daily obligations and activities at school. 3) The inhibiting factor in strengthening religious character at MI Tahfidz Al-Asyhar is the lack of facilities and infrastructure and the lack of parental involvement at home.
