IMPLEMENTASI GERAKAN LITERASI SEKOLAH (GLS) MELALUI PEMANFAATAN POJOK BACA PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


GLS is a social movement with collaborative support from various elements. One of the measures taken is to realize schools as learning organizations whose citizens are literate throughout life. The School Literacy Movement (GLS) aims to create a society that has the ability to understand and apply what is read through daily behavior. In this study using a qualitative approach, namely the research process that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from a person and the observed behavior. with the type of case study, namely a process of gathering in-depth, detailed, naturalistic and systematic information about an event, both for individuals and groups using various methods and techniques and many sources of information to understand effectively how an event, person, natural setting functions according to the context. The implementation of the School Literacy Movement Program (GLS) through Utilization of Reading Corners for students at SDN Sumbersari 01 Malang can be said to be very good, as evidenced by the existence of: reading corners in each class, providing schedules for visiting the library and getting used to reading 15 minutes
