PENGARUH TINGKAT PEMAHAMAN KAIDAH NAHWU DALAM NAZAM AL-IMRITHI TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR MAHARATUL KITABAH MADRASAH ALIYAH DAARUL MUTTAQIN BANTUR MALANG

Abstract
Arabic language learning in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) is generally enriched with the study of qawā‘id through the Book of Nazam Al-Imrithi to reinforce grammatical rules (nahwu). Theoretical assumptions suggest that strong grammatical mastery can trigger students' affective aspects in productive language skills. This study aims to determine the level of understanding of nahwu rules in Nazam Al-Imrithi, the level of learning motivation in maharatul kitabah (writing skills), and to analyze whether there is a significant influence between these two variables among 11th-grade female students of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Daarul Muttaqin Bantur Malang. This study employed a quantitative causal-associative approach. The research population consisted of 14 female students, all of whom were selected as samples using the saturated sampling (total sampling) technique. Data were collected through a multiple-choice objective test for variable X (Understanding of Nazam Al-Imrithi) and a closed-ended Likert scale questionnaire for variable Y (Motivation in Maharatul Kitabah). Data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics (Simple Linear Regression) assisted by SPSS 27. Descriptive statistical results showed that the mean score of the Understanding of Nazam Al-Imrithi was 86.43 (very good category), and the mean score of Learning Motivation in Maharatul Kitabah was 60.07 (high category). However, the simple linear regression test results showed a significance value of 0.322 (p > 0.05) with a tcount value of -1.033. Thus, H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected, meaning that there is no significant influence between the understanding of nahwu rules in Nazam Al-Imrithi on students' learning motivation in maharatul kitabah. The R Square value of 0.082 indicates that the contribution of variable X to Y is only 8.2%, while the remaining 91.8% is influenced by other factors outside this study.
