EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN ARTICULATE STORYLINE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGHAFAL MUFRADAT DI MTS HIDAYATUL MUBTADIIN

Abstract


Abstract
This study was motivated by the low ability of seventh-grade students at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadiin to memorize Arabic vocabulary due to the use of conventional teaching methods. As a result, students were less active and less motivated to learn Arabic. This study aimed to: (1) describe the implementation of Articulate Storyline as a learning medium in Arabic vocabulary instruction, and (2) determine the effectiveness of Articulate Storyline in improving the Arabic vocabulary memorization ability of seventh-grade students at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadiin. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of 25 students from Class VII A as the experimental group and 27 students from Class VII C as the control group. Data were collected using tests administered before and after the treatment. The data were analyzed using the normality test, homogeneity test, Paired Sample t-Test, Independent Sample t-Test, and N-Gain test. The findings revealed that the implementation of the Articulate Storyline learning media was carried out successfully, with a student activity percentage of 77.5%, which falls into the good category. The Arabic vocabulary memorization ability of students in the experimental group improved significantly, as indicated by the increase in the mean pretest score from 70.88 to 83.25 on the posttest. The results of the Paired Sample t-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, while the Independent Sample t-Test yielded a significance value of 0.014 < 0.05. Furthermore, the N-Gain analysis produced a score of 0.5026 (50.26%), which falls into the moderate category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Articulate Storyline learning media is effective in improving the Arabic vocabulary memorization ability of seventh-grade students at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadiin.
