Pengaruh Berbagai Jenis Kohe dan Konsentrasi Molase terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Kualitas Sawi Pagoda (Brassica narinosa L.)

Abstract


Pagoda mustard (Brassica narinosa L.) is a leafy vegetable with high economic
value owing to its unique morphology and nutritional content. Sustainable cultivation
practices are required to improve plant productivity while maintaining soil fertility. This
study aimed to determine the interaction and individual effects of various types of animal
manure (kohe) and molasses concentrations on the growth, yield, and quality of pagoda
mustard. The experiment was conducted from May to July 2026 using a factorial
Randomized Block Design with two factors. The treatments consisted of two types of kohe
(chicken and goat manure) and four molasses concentrations (0, 50, 100, and 150 mL L⁻¹)
with three replications. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by the
Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test at the 5% significance level. The results showed
no significant interaction between kohe type and molasses concentration for all observed
variables. Goat manure significantly improved vegetative growth and plant biomass
compared with chicken manure. Molasses affected plant quality independently, where 100
mL L⁻¹ produced the highest chlorophyll index, while 150 mL L⁻¹ resulted in the highest
vitamin C content. These findings indicate that goat manure has the potential to improve
the growth and yield of pagoda mustard, whereas molasses can be applied to enhance crop
quality under sustainable cultivation practices.
