PENGARUH PUTARAN RUNNER TERHADAP DAYA LISTRIK YANG DIHASILKAN DENGAN MEMVARIASI UKURAN NOZZLE PADA PROTOTYPE TURBIN PELTON
Abstract
The development model of the turbine at this time began to do, especially in hydropower
(Hydroelectric), along with the times and is also influenced by the needs of the energy needed by
humans, it is impossible to rely on energy will be exhausted and difficult updated later that we use
today, for example, such as: coal, fossil, gas, and petroleum. At this time, a lot of literature that says
researchers began to look at the energy of water back to its usefulness in use now and in the future.
Utilization of water energy that was developed at the moment is the use of water-based micro-hydro
energy ranging from small to large sizes, depending on how high fall of water needed and also
depends on how much the speed of the water flow in order to gain significant power. In this case, the
analysis uses centrifugal pump types as the engineering of H falling water to help produce water in
order to speed the pace of play Pelton turbine runner of the prototype. From the analysis of data
retrieval from Pelton turbine prototype obtain the following results rate of rotation runner Pelton
turbine prototype more domonan on the size of the nozzle diameter of 4 mm 90º when the valve
opening of the nozzle of 3 mm, and 5 mm, which resulted in the rate of rotation of 258 runners Rpm
and also generate electric power of 0.835 Watt, while the value of the fluid flow rate (Q) generated as
much as 3.92 x 10-4
