Abstract

To improve engine performance, we can modify the CDI-DC ignition system, which initially has a spool on the magnet which functions to convert rotational energy taken from the motor rotation into electrical energy whose output is in the form of alternating current. The purpose of this research is to determine the maximum power resulting from modifying CDI-DC to CDI-DC total loss, and to determine fuel emissions after adding the RS-1 cable. Based on the results of tests carried out experimentally regarding the comparison of the performance of theKawasaki Ninja 2-stroke engine with the Total Loss ignition method, it can be concluded that: There is an influence of using the CDI DC TOTAL LOSS + RS 1 on the power and torque of the Kawasaki Ninja 2-strokemotorbike. The highest increase in power and torque occurs when using CDI DC TOTAL LOSS + RS 1 at Rpm 9000 with torque of 21.05 Nm and power reaching 36.07 hp. There is an influence of CDI STANDART + RS1 on specific fuel consumption on the Kawasaki Ninja 2 Stroke 150 cc motorbike. The specific fuel consumption produced by CDI STANDART + RS 1 is lower than CDI STANDART without RS1 cable installation. The specific fuel consumption achieved at an engine speed of 9000 Rpm is 449.20 kg/hp.hour. and there is an influence of the STANDART RS 1 CDIon CO exhaust emissions on the Kawasaki Ninja 2 Stroke 150ccmotorbike. The CO exhaust gas emissions produced by using the STANDART CDI with the RS1 Cable installation are capable of producing low CO exhaust gas emissions, namely 1.91% at 7000 rpm, while using the STANDART CDI the CO exhaust gas emissions are very high, namely 3.71%. There is an effect of CDI DC TOTAL LOSS + RS1 on HC exhaust emissions on the Kawasaki Ninja 2 Stroke 150 cc motorbike. HC exhaust emissions produced by CDI DC TOTAL LOSS + RS1 produce very low HC exhaust emissions, namely 5004 at 9000 Rpm, while the highest HCexhaust emissions are obtained by CDI STANDART with an HC value of 7755 at 9000 Rpm..
