Pengaruh Pemasangan Deflektor Dengan Variasi Posisi Sudut Pada Rotor Terhadap Kinerja Turbin Angin Savonius

Abstract


The Savonius wind turbine is a type of wind turbine that can be used to generate electricity and is a type of Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) wind turbine. This study aims to determine the output power, torque and performance efficiency of the Savonius wind turbine by adding a deflector between the turbine blade gaps. Variations used in this study are variations in the position angle of the deflector angle on the rotor with angles of 30°, 45° and 60°. The output power at a deflector angle of 45° with a wind speed of 7.3 m/s produces a value of 4.56 watts. The torque value at a deflector angle of 45° with a wind speed of 7.3 m/s produces a value of 16.52 Nm. The highest efficiency value for the Savonius wind turbine is at a deflector angle of 30° with a wind speed of 6,0 m/s of 1.005%.
