PENGARUH JUMLAH SUDU TERHADAP KINERJA TUBIN ANGIN SAVONIUS TIPE U DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN VARIASI SUDU

Abstract


Wind turbines by generating electricity from renewable energy can reduce the use of fossil energy from coal. The purpose this study is to determine value of output power, torque and efficiency. Variations used in the study were variations in the number blade using 2, 3 and 4 blade. The output power of the 4 blades produces a value of 3.67 watt at wind speed 6.8 meter/second. Affected by wind speed and number of blades. The torque value at the 4 blades produces a value of 14,447 Nm at wind speed of 6.8 meter/second. Affected by wind speed and number of blades. The highest efficiency value for Savonius u-type wind turbine is the 2-blade type with an efficiency value of 1,0046% at a wind speed of 5.8. As wind speed increases, BHP increases.
