PENGARUH CAMPUR BAHAN BAKAR PERTALITE, PERTAMAX TURBO DAN PERTAMAX TERHADAP PERFORMA SEPEDA MOTOR VARIO 150cc
Abstract
Until now, the most widely used means of transportation in Indonesia are motorized vehicles or motorbikes. Motorized vehicles require fuel oil (BBM). The fuels that are often used include Pertalite, Pertamax and Pertamax Turbo. Every vehicle also requires power to be able to move and operate properly. The power of a motorcycle can be seen from the amount of torque and power generated by the motorcycle. The amount of torque and power can be determined using various measurement methods. The purpose of this study is to analyze how much difference there is in torque, power and fuel consumption resulting from the type of pertalite with the mixture on a 150 cc Honda Vario motorbike.
The data collection method in this study was to record the results of each research stage where each fuel was used (pertamax and a mixture of pertalite + Pertamax turbo) a road test was carried out with a predetermined RPM, namely 5000 RPM until 7000 RPM.
The results of this study indicate an increase in pertalite performance with a 40% mixture of Pertamax turbo, producing the highest torque of 84.70 Nm, and the maximum power of 26,06 kW, while fuel consumption (SFC) is more wasteful by mixing Pertamax Turbo 20% of each sample. The addition of Pertamax Turbo to pertalite fuel can affect vehicle exhaust emissions. Exhaust emissions increase when mixed with Pertamax turbo, the more additions of Pertamax turbo will produce greater CO and HC, so that the exhaust emissions produced are arguably less environmentally friendly for everyday use
