PERBANDINGAN PERTAMAX DAN CAMPURAN PERTALITE DENGAN AVTUR TERHADAP PERFORMA MESIN SCOOPY TAHUN 2015

Abstract


The development of automotive technology is currently making vehicle technology increasingly developing. Included in this development is maintaining the quality of the fuel used by motorists, especially motorbikes, one of which is by mixing pertalite fuel with avtur. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of avtur on engine performance. Parameters observed were torque (N.m), power (HP), specific fuel consumption (kg/jam.HP), carbon monoxide emissions (%) and carbon emissions (ppm) produced by engines with pertalite fuel and avtur mixture. The results showed that there was an increase in pertalite performance with a 15% avtur mixture, resulting in the highest torque of 8.65 Nm at each rpm variation, and the maximum power of 9.72 HP, while the fuel consumption (SFC) was more wasteful with mixed with 5% avtur from each sample. The results of exhaust emission testing using the Automotive Emissions Analyzer show that pertalite fuel with avtur mixture produces the most carbon monoxide emissions, while the hydrocarbon emissions are low enough that the impact is not environmentally friendly.
