Plastic waste is a serious problem for the community because it is difficult to decompose by the environment, one way to use plastic waste is the pyrolysis method. Pyrolysis of plastic waste is the process of cracking organic compounds in plastic waste in the reactor tube through a heating process without requiring oxygen. The use of catalysts also affects the results of pyrolysis production in the form of liquid, char and gas. This study aims to determine the effect of red soil catalyst on the production of pyrolysis fuel from PP plastic waste. The method used in this research is to insert 500 grams of PP plastic waste and 50 grams of red soil catalyst in the reactor tube with an initial temperature of 150ºC for 30, 60 and 90 minutes. The results obtained in this study are the volume of liquid in 30 minutes more when using a catalyst, the resulting volume is 265ml while without a catalyst the volume is 204ml, the char produced during the pyrolysis process using a catalyst is less while the gas produced when using a red earth catalyst higher. This can happen because the highest content of red soil is aluminum and oxide, so the time required for the pyrolysis process is shorter.
