Abstract

Abstract
This study is the lifting of semiotic theory. The focus of this study is to
examine the narrative text and the nominal financial statements contained in the
annual report of Bank BRI by using three stages: stage semiotic theory of syntax,
semantics stage, and the stage of pragmatics. The data used in this study is a
narrative text and the nominal financial statements contained in the annual report
of Bank BRI in 2012 for use in the analysis of syntax and semantics; and the
financial statements in the annual report of Bank BRI in 2013 for use in the
analysis of pragmatics. This study used qualitative methods and Interpretive. Data
collection methods used in this research is content analysis.The results of this
study are the researcher explains the continuity between narrative text in the
annual report that is narrative text that discusses the achievements obtained by
Bank BRI and the efforts it undertakes to realize those achievements. Indicating
that the increase of Bank BRI's assets and net income is the existence of positive
influence of narrative text information in BRI's annual report of year 2012 to
BRI's annual report of Bank in 2013.
