Abstract


ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of financial performance, political visibility, and dependence on debt towards social responsibility disclosures. The sample is 33 LQ45 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period of 2015-2017. Data analysis has been done using multiple regression analysis and the independent variable of financial performance is measured by Return on Assets (ROA), political visibility using the Ln indicator of total assets as a measure for company size, and dependence on debt as measured by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). The results showed that financial performance and political visibility had a significant positive effect on social responsibility disclosure, while debt dependence had a negative significant effect on social responsibility disclosure.
