PENGARUH MOTIVASI, STATUS SOSIAL, DAN KARIR MAHASISWA AKUNTANSI DALAM RANGKA MENGIKUTI UJIAN CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT DI CPA TEST CENTER UNISMA

Abstract

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of motivation, social status and career Accounting Students in order to take the exam Certified Public Accountant at the CPA Test Center UNISMA at one of the universities in Malang that held a Certified Accountant Public examination with a CPA title. The data used in this research are taken from the questionnaire given by the researcher to the Accounting Students of 2015 and 2016 at the Islamic University of Malang. The dependent variable in this research is the Accounting Students in order to take the Certified Public Accountant exam, and the independent variable is Motivation, Social status, and Career. The method used in this study is a survey method with a type of analytical descriptive research. Sampling from the population using purposive sampling method, namely the technique of determining the sample with certain considerations. The total population is 104 people, while the sample is 84 people or 80.8% of the population.  For this method, several regressions are used and with IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 20.0. The hypothesis was tested by the F statistical test and the T statistical test with a significant proportion of 5%. The results showed that motivation, social and career at the same time had a significant impact on Accounting Students in order to take the Certified Public Accountant exam. but the Partially, motivation has a significant effect on accounting students in order to take the Certified Public Accountant exam, career has a significant effect on accounting students in order to take the Certified Public Accountant exam, and social status motivation has a significant effect on accounting students in order to take the Certified Public Accountant exam.
