Implementasi Good Corporate Governance pada Badan Usaha Milik Desa (Studi Kasus BUMDES Podho Joyo Desa Sukorejo Kecamatan Sidayu Kabupaten Gresik)

Abstract

Definitively, Good Corporate Governance is a system that regulates and controls companies that create added value for stakeholders. Governance is a new thing in public administration governance in the scope of government in order to create collaboration in equality and balance (Wardani & Fauzi, 2018). In facing the tight business competition, companies need to review the principles of implementing good corporate governance, including: (1) transparency; (2) accountability; (3) responsibility; (4) independence; (5) fairness (fairness and equality) (Kelvianto & Mustamu, 2018). This type of research uses a qualitative approach, based on the core of a problem contained in the problem formulation. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research method is carried out by collecting data, compiling and describing the findings. This type of research is qualitative descriptive with the object of research BUMDes Podho Joyo in Sukorejo Village. The data analysis technique uses the interactive model of Miles and Huberman (1984:23) which has three main components in determining the content of the conclusion, namely: (1) data reduction; (2) data presentation; (3) data verification and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that BUMDes Podho Joyo was able to apply the principles of Good Corporate Governance in running its business lines. The main requirements for the implementation of Good Corporate Governance that have been implemented by BUMDes Podho Joyo are: (1) Having a clear organizational structure; (2) Internal policies; (3) Transparency and access to information; (4) Internal and external monitoring systems; (5) Stakeholder participation; (6) Having human resources; (7) Technology and information system support.
